Cancellations and refunds on Snapja.
Your payment is held by Snapja until you approve the delivered content. This guide shows what is refunded if you cancel a shoot, an editing job or a UGC booking, and when.
Updated 22 October 2026. Written by the Snapja team.
How your payment is held
For editing jobs and UGC bookings, payment is collected upfront through Razorpay and held by Snapja. It is not paid to the editor or creator until you approve the delivered work, or until the seven-day review window after delivery passes without a dispute.
For shoots, your payment is held by Snapja and released to the creator only after you confirm the content was delivered.
Cancelling a shoot
Cancellation is free, with a full refund, any time before your creator starts travelling to you. If a creator cancels on you, you are refunded 100 percent.
Cancelling an editing job or a UGC booking
What is refunded depends on how far the work has progressed. Before an editor or creator starts: 100 percent refunded. Work in progress: 80 percent refunded. Revision requested: 70 percent refunded. Draft delivered, not yet approved: 40 percent refunded.
An unpaid order costs nothing. If you close the payment window or a payment fails, the order is saved under My orders so you can pay later or cancel it free of charge.
When the refund arrives
Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually in 1 to 3 business days. Some banks take longer.
The full terms are in the cancellation and refund policy.
